# Create an accounting schedule

> Generate a lease accounting schedule under FASB 842, IFRS 16, or other supported standards.

Accounting schedules calculate the straight-line amortization and ROU asset values for a lease. Tango supports FASB Topic 840, FASB Topic 842, IFRS 16, and IAS 17.

## Before you begin

Review the following components on the lease before creating a schedule:

* **Basic Info → Key Dates** — the Possession Date becomes the default schedule begin date.
* **Options and Terms** — any renewal options with **Include in Accounting Schedule** checked extend the default schedule end date.
* **Recurring Costs** — only costs recorded here can be included in the schedule.
