# Kontakt.io

Locatee's Kontakt.io integration enables the forwarding of device location information from your Kontakt.io sensor infrastructure.

The integration is based on Kontakt.io's **Location and Occupancy API**. The most up to date version of the developer documentation is available [here](https://developer.kontakt.io/docs/dev-ctr-loc-occ-api/b2851eca9f1a7-location-and-occupancy-api-introduction).

## Generate an API key

You can obtain the API key using the **Kio Cloud** dashboard. Each Kio Cloud account user has an unique API key.

1. Sign in to [Kio Cloud](https://app.cloud.us.kontakt.io/app/account/settings).
2. Select **Users** > **Security** > copy the **Server API Key**.

Inform the **Locatee Service Desk** ([support@locatee.com](mailto:support@locatee.com)) and submit the key in your request.
