# Space types

## What is a space

**Spaces** are places where work can get done in an office. This can be individual work (such as a desk) or collaborative work (such as a meeting room). Spaces are where employees spend time with their work devices (laptop/smartphone), but it can also be places where people take a break.

## Space type overview

In Locatee Analytics, each space has a designated **space type**.

## Managing space types

In Locatee Analytics, space types are automatically set during processing of the floorplan DWG file.

It is possible to modify a space type, for example if it was set incorrectly.
