The generate rent roll function creates individual payment records based on the recurring costs set up in each lease. You can generate rent for one lease at a time or across multiple leases at once.
1

Open the Generate Rent Roll action

From the lease home, click Generate Rent Roll.
2

Choose the lease scope

Select My Leases to limit generation to leases where you are listed as an internal contact, or select All Leases to generate across the full portfolio.
3

Set the period

Choose Calendar or Period mode, then select the month (or period) and year you want to generate.
4

Select the lease financials group

Choose Real Estate or Non-Real Estate depending on which lease type you are generating.
5

Select specific leases (optional)

To include all leases that match the criteria, leave All selected. To target specific leases, click Select Leases, check the boxes for the leases you want, then click Add and OK.
The Selected Lease Count field shows how many leases will be included in the run.
6

Apply offsets (optional)

Check Apply Offsets if you want offset payments to be included wherever they apply.
7

Generate payments

Click OK. The system generates payment records and shows a success message.
If you run the same period twice for the same leases, the system does not create duplicate payments. It recognizes that payments already exist for that period and skips them. Only new leases added after the first run receive payments on a second run.
8

Review generated payments

Navigate to Lease Financials → Lease Payments for any lease included in the run. Generated payments are flagged as System Generated and inherit the status and hold flag from their recurring cost record.
If a recurring cost is marked On Hold, the generated payment is also marked on hold and is not picked up by integrations.
